Solution


Regular training of operators is a key element for keeping the highest level of maritime safety and security awareness even in front of very unlikely situations. The provision and the maintenance of a simulation platform can represent a significant investment; the nerintech simulation platform is an affordable and easy to implement alternative. Thanks to the integrated portal, simulation scenarios can be stored and shared openly or privately with the other users of the simulation platform.


The platform is a collaborative environment where several users can simultaneously participate to the same simulated session. The users can be located in various remote locations.
Several sessions of one or several scenarios can be independently run in parallel.


Additional types of sensors can be easily added, thanks to the flexible and extensible architecture of the platform.

The ships are moving along trajectories; for each segment of the trajectory, the speed or the duration can be specifically set.
The integrated editor permits to directly update the scenario and observe the modifications on the fly.
For every mobile and every surveillance station, equipment and sensors can be individually attached.


Different types of charts can be displayed through a set of overlapping layers.
Operators can also use predefined views in order to quickly zoom-in to the areas of interest.

Additional S-57 files in S-57 or S-63 formats can be added upon provision of the materials and associated information for activation.


The radar raw video can be displayed according to a two colour palette: one for the latest radar turn, another one for the afterglow from the previous radar turns. In order to easily distinguish between different radars, each raw video has its own two colour palette.

The information will be displayed or not according to the data collected by the sensors.
By selecting a track with the mouse, additional information are displayed in a dedicated box that is updated every time the track information are refreshed.

Operators can take control of the cameras and perform pan, tilt and zoom actions.


If a radio direction finder is in range, a corresponding strobe will be displayed on the map when a radio transmission occurs from a radio transmitter or a beacon.


Similar functions as on the desktop version are available but adapted to the usual experience on this type of device.

Hosting

From shared online hosting to fully private on premise hosting:
- dedicated instance on the online nerintech platform,
- dedicated online server operated by nerintech,
- private server totally independent from the nerintech platform.

Implementation of scenarios

The support consists in defining the sensors and their location, the mobile platforms and their associated trajectories.
The resulting scenarios can be kept private for a selected number of users or shared openly with the rest of the nerintech community.

Studies & Consulting

The analysis of these various WHAT IF scenarios can be particularly useful for comparing different scenarios and supporting the decision making process, or for preparing the staff to a new setup even before it exists.

Interfaces

By default, a third party system can subscribe for receiving messages in AIS, IVEF, JSON and XML formats, and images through the WMS and WMTS protocols.
Other protocols can be developed on demand.
Meanwhile, additional layers can be specifically added to the map view, typically custom charts in WMS and WMTS formats.
